Although Arsenal are fully loaded in the front of their attack consisting of Aubameyang, Pepe and Lacazette, but they have underperformed when playing together and Mikel Arteta have cited the need to look for alternatives.
The Gunners will be hoping their highest paid player [Aubameyang] bounces back ahead of the new season after a disappointing 2020/2021 campaign.
However, Arsenal will not put all their trust in the forward and have now made a move to sign Lazio forward Joaquin Correa, and have tabled an opening offer of €20m.
Joaquin Correa is outstanding when playing as a supporting striker or as a winger on the left where he can then cut inside or use his 188cm frame to dominate a smaller full back at the back post.
Correa have scored at least ten goals a season in the last two campaigns, but Arsenal’s opening offer for the forward might not be enough to secure his signature.
While the French Side have set their asking price at around €35m, Arsenal may need to double their first offer if they really want to land the striker.
