Roberto Martinez has shared his own side of the story as his attacker is poised for a possible return to favorite club
Belgium manager, Roberto Martinez spoke about the Chelsea man after their side lost to Netherlands on Friday night.
Belgium started slumping right after Romelu Lukaku was injured and taken off following a contest from Nathan Ake.
Both men were seen racing towards the ball before Ake made an almost invincible touch to take down Romelu Lukaku.
The former Inter Milan was taken off and yet to be disclosed of his injury status as he now has more issues to deal with.
Lukaku already has his club future on his head following interest to return to the Serie A amid struggling form in the Premier League.
The striker has already spoken with Inter Milan and switching agents with hopes of making Chelsea let him leave either on loan or a permanent deal.
According to Belgium manager, Lukaku is capable of making the right decision for himself despite showing signs of not being in full control of his decision making when he fired his former Agent.
“I haven’t spoken to Romelu [Lukaku] about his future,” Martinez said.
“But he will handle the situation well because it is not the first time it has happened to him in his career.”
