But that statement have taken another twist now as the CEO of Spotify, Daniel Ek have shown interest and according to him, he is willing to buy if Kroenke would sell.
The Kroenkes have hardly invested in the club since taking over as sole owner in 2018.
After much pressure the American Business Man have said He would consider selling the club if they receive an offer of £2billion.
Daniel Ek have no problems in matching the asking price set by Kroenke, according to reports.
Although a first bid by Ek was rejected by Josh Kroenke, the Spotify owner stated that he remains interested in buying the club.
Daniel Ek: “This week I made an offer to buy Arsenal to Kroenke and bankers that included fan ownership, representation at board and a golden share for the supporter.
They replied that they don’t need the money. I remain interested should that situation ever change”.
A new ownership will be a huge step in the right direction for Arsenal.
