The Blues are very close to landing the Polish attacker, after Bayern Munich begins process for his departure
Earlier on, Bayern Munich were refusing talks about Robert Lewandowski leaving despite confessions from the striker that he wants to leave.
With Barcelona seen as his next destination, Lewandowski was said to have agreed personal terms with the Catalans and a move becoming likely.
Bayern Munich on the other hand did pend talks about the striker as they wanted to first secure a replacement before letting him leave.
The club will have to make sales before having new players legally into the squad. It’s unknown when they can rectify this issue which puts Lewandowski in an uncertain state if he still favors heading to Spain.
With the summer transfer window just days away from opening, Bayern Munich have finally disclosed what they need to let Lewandowski leave.
Recall that Somtosport earlier on estimated the Bavarians would ask for funds around €40m for the striker. Well that is now the case as Bayern have placed Lewandowski in the market for €40m.
The 33-year-old has fallen out of place with the club and only an exit is now possible after he called Bayern Munich not serious.
Chelsea would be moving in on the attacker after seeing Romelu Lukaku want to force his way out of the squad and Bayern Munich identifying him a replacement for Lewandowski would only make the deal easier for both parties.
A swap deal is looking very much likely now should Bayern Munich remain keen on Romelu Lukaku and manage to reach personal agreements with him.
