The Blues are back on pursuit to land 22-year-old West Ham United star
Rice has been linked to a move back at the side where he spent his youth days and could finally be making a return.
But this time the deal could involved forgotten striker, Tammy Abraham moving the opposite direction.
Despite being the top scorer for Blues this season compared to Timo and Giroud, Abraham has mysteriously been left out by Tuchel.

Although the English man had a place in the squad earlier before his injury but since his return is yet to start a game for the German.
And it’s understood he has reached a point of no return as he is now more interested in getting game time elsewhere.
This West Ham can give to him considering the talents he embody but it’s unlikely they would agree to letting Declan Rice leave.
The Hammers could have possibly used Rice as a swap for Jesse Lingard but have shown no interest in letting the Holding Midfielder leave London Stadium.
Sadly now Chelsea may have to stack out as much as £90m as Rice is now more valuable due to interests from other top flight teams, including Manchester United and Manchester City.
Another factor that could push Declan Rice into wanting a return to Chelsea is Blues winning against Villa on Sunday as that would secure UCL spot for Chelsea next season.
