Sergio Dest’s World Cup form have Barcelona pleased as it may help with his summer transfer.

The barca fullback on loan with the Rossoneri has struggled to settle in and has only made one Serie A start but his performances at the World Cup in Qatar seem to indicate that the player still has a lot to give.

Dest, who has been characterized as “increasingly sure of his own skills,” has started the last two games for the USMNT in the World Cup 2022 and has done a great job.

Barcelona have been searching for way to lower their wage bill and will be glad to learn about their full-back’s outstanding form. They have expressed satisfaction with the player’s World Cup performance.

Given the team’s financial predicament, Barcelona are willing to let Dest leave the squad permanently and thanks to his elite World Cup performance, finding a buyer in the summer shouldn’t be a problem.
