Liverpool Midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai express emotions over his debut Merseyside Derby encounter at Anfield.

The 22-year-old has been one of the interesting talents to watch in the Premier League since the beginning of the season.

The Hungarian’s captain who just arrived at Anfield last summer had previously shared his excitement on how he’d hoped for his first ever Derby game at home.

“I spoke to Trent. I asked how is it gonna be. Everyone said it would be really good. I just came out and take the three points.”

“It feels really good. I didn’t expect that big atmosphere. It’s always good. Today was something special.”

“It’s a really nice feeling to win a derby and be top. It’s too early to speak about it but we are gonna do everything to try to be top at the end.”

Mo Salah scored twice to help grab Liverpool’s three points but then Szoboszlai spoke on his performance and impact on the game.

“Yeah, he lost some balls but we are behind him. We protected him. We got the ball back and gave it to him again.”

“I held the ball for his penalty so no one takes it, to protect the penalty point. We are a team.”
