Ten Hag is keen on building a functioning squad and even if it takes parting ways with his favorite winger, the manager is ready to effect change.

Man United are still working on fixing their performance issues and despite landing Rasmus Holjund, the squad is lacking when it comes to goals.

The former Copenhagen attacker is yet to net a Premier League goal. However, his work rate has been impressive for ten Hag and his coaching staffs.

With Antony Santos failing to live up to his €100M move from Ajax, United are keen on including him on a transfer swap deal that would see Flamengo striker, Gabriel Barbosa join Manchester United.

The Brazilian has already netted 27 goals and provided 18 assists this season for his club and expectations around United are that his addition will help bolster Rasmus Holjund into scoring spree

The rumors are already hitting high roof and in a recent interview, Erik ten Hag couldn’t pretend not to know of the news. “It’s football world and people will say a lot of things,” ten Hag said.

“Antony is a good boy and just like every other member of the team, he is in a trying time, we all are. We have to work together to achieve a good result.

“We have Rasmus up front and we have Martial too and they play good in that area. We will do what’s best for the team and will keep working hard to achieve our project.”
