The Dutch man is keen on succeeding at Manchester United and is ready to do everything possible to ensure this.
Manchester United are fired up for the new season and a major change could see things turn out for the better for the squad after seeing their past two seasons hit rock bottom.
Erik ten Hag is mindful of his decisions especially now he is still at his early stages as Manchester United manager and as such has decided to do things by his principle.
The former Ajax manager is aware of his things have gone at Old Trafford in the past years and is determined to change the course of things in the club.
With one of the issues being the Captaincy role considering Harry Maguire poor run of form.
Manchester United saw the former Leicester City player made captain by the former Boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but since then Maguire has been very poor.
Ahead of the new season, Erik ten Hag has suggested that should things continue going bad for Maguire then it could mean stripping him off the Captaincy band in order to help him get to his best.
“Yes we are aware of Harry Maguire’s past performances in the club, he is already an influencing member of the squad”, ten Hag said.
“But he is still a player and things won’t just turn good after a long run of bad period, it takes work and I don’t expect it to happen all of a sudden.
“But should things not go as planned then we may consider taking the captain band from him in order to help him get to speed.”
