Erik Ten Hag Fires Warning To Premier League Managers Ahead Of Debut Match

The newly appointed Man United manager has sent hot note to Premier League Managers as he sets to rekindle the Red Devils fire

Man United now have their hopes very high as Erik Ten Hag resumes office today as the Red Devils manager.

Ten Hag penned a 3-year contract with Man United on the 21st of April and remained with Ajax until the end of the season as that is the agreement while Ralf Rangnick sees out the remaining season games with United.

The 53-year-old finished his Ajax managerial career with a blazing 73.5% win rate, racking 158 wins in 215 games and losing only 29.

Manchester United have been without a good manager for too long following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013 and Erik Ten Hag’s appointment is expected to be that desired turning point following his track record.

The Red Devils followed the footsteps of Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea to seek for an attacking minded manager with Ten Hag sharing similar win ratio with Tuchel (74.8%)before he arrived Premier League.

Speaking on Sunday, Ten Hag has appeared to have fired a warning to Premier League managers when he said he is looking forward to dealing with things in the Premier League.

“I have the energy to carry on after the Dutch season with a new period in Manchester,” Ten Hag said.

“I am looking forward to dealing with things. Of course I need to charge my batteries at some stage, but I will find time for that somewhere in between.

“There’s a lot of work to do there. In the staff there are still some things to be organized and also in the squad. We will be very much concerned about that from tomorrow.

“As a coach I have been able to develop myself tremendously [at Ajax]. The coach must give direction, not let himself be distracted by peripheral issues. He develops a playing method and must ensure that it is implemented.”

The Dutch man across his 4-years as Ajax manager has won 6 trophies for the Sons of the Gods, including a back to back Eredivisie trophy.

Following his recent interview, Ten Hag statements suggests he will resume office today as Man United manager while Ralf Rangnick moves on to his new role.

But it’s yet to be confirmed who will be in charge of the squad on the final game day for United when they lock horns with Crystal Palance.
