Man United new manager has appeared very impressed after watching one of Man United youngsters display on International level.

Facundo Pellistri has been a Man United player since 2020 when he joined in from Penarol.

The 20-year-old was called up to the senior team in same season he joined the U21 team but ever since then, Facundo is yet to make a senior team appearance.

The last two seasons for the Winger has been on loan to Spanish side, Alaves and it’s likely he could be handed a chance in the 2022/2023 season following the arrival of Erik ten Hag.

Pellistri was seen on Friday morning taking out three men and setting up an assist for Edinson Cavani who later went on to grab a hattrick during a friendly match against Mexico.

Indeed, every manager would be impressed seeing the display from the 20-year-old, of which Erik ten Hag isn’t an exception.

The Dutch man has showered praise on Pellistri who he would most likely call back to evaluate if he suits into the new system Man United are building.

Several players already left, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata and more will still leave as United are carrying out a major overhaul that will change the squad for the next decades.

Speaking after seeing Facundo play, ten Hag said; “I saw the clip of his goal, he is indeed very talented and strong on his foot.

“Barely plays like a 20-year-old, his confidence must have gained him a contract with this great club.

“We will see what will happen in the coming weeks. But it’s very much open for many on loan players to return to loan, I want to evaluate them and make decisions.

“We need everyone that can be useful to our vision for this this club. Some players already left and we need to refill the positions.”

Man United still remain in pursuit for several transfer targets including Frankie de Jong and Jurrien Timber.
