Erik ten Hag believes Marcus Rashford’s versatility could finally be put to work in the second half of the season as he hints on new role
The forward has returned to form under Ten Hag stewardship, with his powerful first-half header the seventh goal he’s scored this season for Man United, and the second time he’s found the back of the net with a header.
Considering the fact that Anthony Martial is the only Central Forward at the time in the club, after Ronaldo’s exit, Ten Hag in a press conference has revealed he will try the number 10 in the center of attack, as he believes Rashford has got all it takes.
“There are a lot of talents in our squad and I believe we are still very competitive with that,” ten Hag said.
“We have Rashford too, happy he is proving his class with the National team. I think he can play well as a Number 9 too when Martial isn’t available.
“His touches in the box are dangerous and his strikes are something we need up front. I see him as an alternative should Martial be out.
