Former Real Madrid Coach Drops Brutal Verdict On Chelsea Defender Despite Clean Sheet Victory

Koulibaly returned to action on Wednesday night as Chelsea recorded a clean sheet victory on their home ground

Kalidou Koulibaly was named in a three man defense against AC Milan on Wednesday night with the Blues going to beat Milan 3-0.

Despite not being in since the new manager took over, Kalidou Koulibaly showed up on the pitch to help Fofana and Silva in securing Kepa’s frontline.

However, former Real Madrid and AC Milan boss, Fabio Capello has thrashed the Senegalese’s performance since joining Chelsea as he explained him as being slow.

According to Capello, Koulibaly hasn’t been able to live to the standards he set while at Napoli following his big money move to Chelsea.

“At Chelsea, Kalidou Koulibaly has no personality,” Capello said. “When he has the ball at his feet he hesitates. He is not playing quickly, he does not do what he did at Napoli.”

“At Napoli, Kalidou Koulibaly commanded, he came forward, he made long passes, now he has the ball between his feet, he does not know who to pass it to and he always plays passes to someone only a few metres away.

“Actually, Kalidou Koulibaly is surprising me. I thought he had a great personality, and for Chelsea he would be really important and explode straight away. And yet, at this moment, this is not him.”
