Graham Potter Breaks Silence On Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafael Leao And Christopher Nkunku Transfer Links To Chelsea

Chelsea are keen on strengthening their squad come next transfer window and they have already started making plans for a smooth business

Christopher Nkunku, Cristiano Ronaldo and Rafael Leao are the three names the Blues are looking to add to their eleven when the transfer window opens in January.

According to reports, the side have already managed to sign a pre-contract with Nkunku while pushing strongly to convince Leao of a move to their camp.

On the other hand is Cristiano Ronaldo who has seen his place in the Manchester United squad come under major doubt despite the arrivals of his close pals, Casemiro and Rafael Varane.

Of course, Ronaldo never thought he would be having enough time on the bench this season when he decided to stay at the club neither did Manchester United say that to him when they turned down offers for his departure.

The new manager at Old Trafford has already shown it could get worse for Ronaldo who wants to be involved in every game he can with his retirement fast approaching.

Chelsea will be looking to push for Ronaldo when the window open and following a press conference held today ahead of the game against AC Milan, Blues new boss, Graham Potter was quizzed about the Portuguese and he said; “We can spend all day with asking these questions, but I’m not going to speak about anyone else. Whilst they aren’t our players, I don’t speak about them.”

Further speaking he added on Christopher Nkunku who Chelsea have been said to already have a pre-contract with; “I don’t speak about players that aren’t Chelsea players.”

Chelsea will face a major competition when they battle AC Milan on Wednesday with the Italians losing just one game since the start of the 2022/2023 season following a 2-1 defeat against Napoli.

Potter went on to share that he doesn’t overlook the threat Milan pose, especially from Rafael Leao who has been linked to Chelsea.

“I’ve been really impressed with him whenever I’ve watched the [AC Milan] games,” Potter said. “He contributes to how they attack and score. In terms of what happens in the future, who knows whether he can do this in Premier League or not. He’s got the capability, for sure.”
