Erik ten Hag is already settling into the Manchester United squad as he Applauds youngster who abandoned 3-weeks holiday to rejoin the squad

Manchester United resumed training this week and with a new manager in the picture, the atmosphere is brand new.

New philosophy is definitely coming and that means equal opportunity for most members of the squad, especially the youngsters.

No wonder most of the youngsters who have been promoter to the first team were all available during ten Hag’s first training as United manager.

Unlike every other youngster, Alejandro Garnacho was supposed to take a further 3 weeks rest before returning but the Argentine made an untimely return to train with the squad.

Garnacho represented Argentina U20 side in the Toulon Tournament and as such automatically entitled to a further 3 weeks rest but he decided to cut it short.

This move alone has already impressed Erik ten Hag who went on to applaud Garnacho for his dedication.

“I was told he is supposed to not return now, but I was surprised when they identified him as the one who was meant to be resting for 3 weeks,” ten Hag said.

“This alone shows huge dedication to the team and I like him already for that and I think he is also an amazing kid.

“Worked well in the training, and just like every other player, he is hungry to play and that is a very good thing for him.”
