Attackers: Tammy Abraham and Armando Broja

Currently Broja and Abraham are the available stars for the number 9 role after seeing the Albanian pen a 5-year contract with the Blues.

Broja had a successful loan spell at Dutch side, Vitesse where he netted 10 goals in 30 games before been recalled by Chelsea.

Looking at the striker, Tuchel believes he will do better in a squad as talented and attacking minded as Chelsea and it’s good he already had a 5-year contract to his name now.

Tammy Abraham on the other hand was left out for the most part of Thomas Tuchel’s games in the just concluded season.

The German used to have him upfront until his injury against Newcastle United and ever since then, it’s been the bench for Abraham despite claiming to be back fully fit.

Abraham although has remained concentrated on a Chelsea stay than club switch after turning down interests from West Ham United and Aston Villa.

Pre-Season brings the opportunity to make coaches doubt their previous judgement about a player and Abraham has this knowledge, more reason he decided to stay back and fight for a spot.

Olivier Giroud would be leaving for AC Milan in days which leaves Chelsea’s striking role to just Abraham, Armando Broja and Timo Werner.

Midfielders: Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ross Barkley, Loftus-Cheek, Bakayoko, Gallagher, Lewis Bate and Tino Anjorin

Anjorin isn’t a new name to the first team as he already has been training and played although less games with the squad but will be looking to be more involved in the coming season.

With Tuchel ready to hand the desired opportunity in the pre-season, Anjorin knows he only has to impress the manager in order to gain that spot he deserves in the main team.

Reuben Loftus-Cheek is another name Tuchel loves to hear and has in one of his past interviews compared the English man to Chelsea Legend; Michael Ballack.

Following a career threatening injury, Loftus-Cheek after a while did decide to be loaned to Fulham in order to help recover his career quicker.

It’s no surprise Tuchel has taken out time to see some of his performances for Fulham and believes he has chances of performing well with the Chelsea squad.

Ross Barkely is one player who will be looking to revive his dieing career after falling off the pecking order at Aston Villa despite having had a superb start.

Both Gallagher and Lewis Bate are hopeful for a good game under the German manager but it’s unsure about what future may look like for Bakayoko who is strongly linked to a move to AC Milan.

Bakayoko is considered more of an outsider now but it’s still likely he will gain a spot under Thomas Tuchel if he performs well during the pre-season campaign.

Callum Hudson-Odoi already back from his trip to Ghana is keen to regain his spot as Tuchel’s most loved player.

Defenders: Tino Livramento, Dujon Sterling, Ethan Ampadu, Malang Sarr and Marc Guehi

Marc Guehi has been very impressive at Swansea and continuing on this lane could gain him a quick spot in Tuchel’s starting line up.

With Rudiger, Christensen, Silva and Zouma all absent, Guehi could be getting game time under Tuchel alongside Malang Sarr and Ethan Ampadu.

Malang Sarr became a pillar in F.C. Porto’s defense line and Tuchel will be excited to see him display on his defense line against the local rivals.

Ethan Ampadu on the other hand has had a very bad one on loan but hopefully he sees a superb turn around playing under the former Dortmund boss.

Both Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta are yet to make a return after a hectic Euro and that leaves the youth’s player of the season, Livramento and Dujon Sterling to the right back role.

Marcos Alonso will sure get a starting spot as Emerson Palmieri and Ben Chilwell are still yet to return.

Goalkeepers: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Jamie Cumming, Karlo Zigler

Edouard Mendy will sure get more time to rest after a successful first spell as Chelsea first choice, which leaves the post role to Kepa Arrizabalaga, Zigler and Jamie.
