Erik ten Hag has appeared willing to do whatever it takes to make sure his rebuilding process is a success even if it takes going out of ways with what the fans would love
The Midfielder was confirmed by the club to be leaving at the end of this summer despite the arrival of a new manager.
Unlike many other players who are willing to fight for a place under the Dutchman, he is keen on a departure as it appears the decision has already been made weeks back.
Speaking on his departure ten Hag said of Pogba; “Yes I have watched him play in many occasions and he is a talented player.
“I spoke with people close to him and I understood his decisions already which I don’t have to interfere.
“We have a blueprint of what we want to build and we have to stick with that. I know fans won’t be happy but he has to leave.
“He doesn’t want to stay and we can’t make him stay either, even if he was to be part of the project.”
Erik ten Hag managed Donny Van de Beek to major success while they were still at Ajax but having left for United before ten Hag, Donny lost playing time.
The player is currently with Everton on loan and will return to United squad this summer to reunite with Erik ten Hag.
Van de Beek is one possibly going to replace Paul Pogba but it would depend on what Erik ten Hag has on ground.
“Donny is a very talented player, I can’t wait to have him back in the squad. He left before me and am here now for us to work together,” ten Hag continued.
“I hope we achieve great things together in this great club.”
