Chelsea have been handed a boost on their pursuit to land a star back man as club president makes transfer admission
Chelsea are now closing in on their quest to land a replacement for Antonio Rudiger who joined Real Madrid.
The Blues failed to reach a renewal agreement with the German who left as a free agent to Real Madrid.
With their hopes now turned to the transfer market for a replacement, Chelsea are already closing in on their desired target.
Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt is one Chelsea see as a better replacement to Rudiger and have already made advances at the Dutch man.
It appears the club already have their one hand on the player with Juventus President disclosing it’s hard when players want to leave.
Juventus CEO Maurizio Arrivabene speaking on Matthijs de Ligt deal to Chelsea said; “It’s impossible to keep players when they want to leave the club – but all the three parties in the negotiations have to be satisfied.”
Chelsea had Sevilla’s Jules Kounde on the top of their defensive want list but it’s been reported that the Frenchman is now replaced by Matthijs de Ligt.
The Blues are yet to land any signing but are hopeful in matter of days time they can complete one.
