Gunners indicated interest in signing the English defender not minding his woes at the backline.

Harry Maguire has been responsible for many of the loses Man United have encountered since he was handed the captain band by former manager, Ole Solskjaer.

It can’t be hidden that the former Leicester City man is so bad that the fans wish he isn’t played in games.

Their will be a new manager coming in at Old Trafford in weeks time and it’s unlikely the defender will reman in the squad should he not improve.

Erik Ten Hag is the one most talked of for the new position, knowing the Dutch man as a no-nonsense person then leaving United would be the ideal move for Maguire.

But it appears the Englishman is ready to fight for a spot in the squad should Erik Ten Hag arrive following his latest comments.

Speaking to ABC, Maguire said on Friday evening, “I am focused in helping my team and the media can say anything, it’s their job to say what they want.

“It’s just necessary that everyone out there knows that most of these things said on papers are mere rumors.

“Am not interested in leaving Man United because I owe this team alot, which is my duty as the captain.

“The players look up to me as the captain and leaving the club is not what a captain should do, especially at this time.

Harry Maguire hope to be in the eleven when United welcome Norwich this weekend at Old Trafford as they hope for top 4 return.
