Chelsea are reportedly close to reuniting with one of their own following injury blows
The West Londonders are still hoping for a top table return despite sharing spoils with Liverpool last Sunday and handing Cityzens more gap.
With several injury blows currently affecting the side, Chelsea are aware of the importance to bring in more legs to the squad.
Earlier on, Blues were top of the table and gaping with at least 2 points but following their injury blows, the side dropped to the second place and now just 1 points ahead of Liverpool.
The side will be taking on Tottenham Hotspur today for their EFL Cup tie at Stamford Bridge and Marina Granovskaia has stressed on the importance of adding more legs.
It’s hopeful Chelsea can seal a deal to have more players added to the squad this January prior the Champions League actions on February as they believe they can retain the title.
“We need to get more players in, that is something very sure,” Marina told BTSport.
“The club has suffered so much lately and we need to take care of that now that the transfer market is open.
“Yes we have a large squad already but we definitely need more players as the weeks back have shown us that we truly do.
“We are already talking to some clubs including Lyon and we believe we can convince them and terminate the loan contract keeping him at their club.
“It’s also possible that we can get other players who can correctly fill into the squad well incase of the future.
“No one is happy in the club that the injury cost us that much and now harder to get back cause of the Manchester City is in.”
