Kai Havertz Breaks Silence On New Position Under Tuchel

The German has gradually become one of the best finishers in the current squad

Chelsea attacker, Kai Havertz having struggled to settle in the Chelsea squad following his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen, has managed to fit to form.

It’s believed Havertz was used out of position by his former Boss, Frank Lampard as he over and over failed to impress under the English man.

With this necessitating the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as Lampard’s successor, the 21-year-old has revealed how much of a help Tuchel’s arrival has been to his Chelsea career.

Speaking on his new role, Havertz said; “I play somewhere up front – number nine, number 10, something in between – to be honest, I don’t know 100%.

“I just enjoy the position right now because I feel very good there. I have a lot of fast strikers next to me right now.

“I think it’s the perfect position for me. I can be dangerous in the box, I can have the ball a lot and that is what I like, so right now it’s very nice for me in this position.

“The first year wasn’t very easy for me but I think I’m getting better and better, getting more confidence.

“But, for me, the team effort was the most important thing this season, and that we get victories – that’s more important than my own personal things.”

Chelsea enjoyed a cruising lost time turn around against Manchester City over the weekend and hope to extend their victory when they lock horns with Arsenal on Wednesday.
