The Belgian Goalie appears excited with his link to Bayern Munich as the Bavarians prepare January move
Bayern Munich are heavily linked to Wolfsburg Goalie and with the directions things have taken, it’s very likely they will be making an official move this winter.
The German Giants deem it wise to bring in Casteels after the injury incident with Manuel Nuer while Nubel Kobel is yet to ripe as he is spending time at Monaco on loan.
25-year-old Koen Casteels on hearing his links with Bayern Munich has expressed excitement and would be happy to feature for the Bundesliga Champions.
While lacking much game time for Belgium following the presence of Thibaut Courtois in the team, Casteels has already made 218 appearances for Wolfsburg since joining back in 2015.
The former Hoffenheim Goalie spent some part of 2015 on loan to Werder Bremen while struggling with game time at Hoffenheim before Wolfsburg came with a good deal to steal him away.
Since his move to the Wolves, Casteels has enjoyed quality time and with Bayern Munich’s interest, the 6.6ft Keeper is ready for the next chapter of his career.
“Of course such a club makes you think,” Casteels said when quizzed on his links to Bayern Munich.
“If the interest is real and they were to come knocking, it would be a very nice step to take, but I’m not there yet”
