Latest Chelsea Transfer News For Friday 24th June.

Chelsea Scare Away Intetested Teams, Committed To Keeping Armando Broja

Chelsea are rejecting all approaches for Armando Broja as they assess their squad and what to do during this transfer window. They are in no rush to sell.

They have put a “Big” price tag on Broja which West Ham aren’t willing to match at the moment, negotiations will continue to see if there is a middle ground.

Armando Broja is willing to join West Ham this summer, as he is desperate to continue playing first-team football.

Initial talks between West Ham and Chelsea have already begun around a deal worth £50m which Boehly is using to scare West Ham and likes away.

Chelsea Grow Their Interest In Juventus Matthijs de Ligt, Others.

Matthijs de Ligt is very much on Chelsea’s agenda this summer, but they face strong competition from top clubs in Europe.

Matthijs de Ligt has a release clause which is around €120million – there is no way Chelsea would pay that sort of money for him, but interest is there.

Ben Jacobs states that “De Ligt and Koulibaly are both on Chelsea’s shortlist, I think De Ligt is more likely. He’s interested, his people have intimated that when I’ve spoken to them, and Chelsea are ramping up their interest.”

“It will be interesting to see if Juventus step up their interest in Jorginho because there might be a possibility of leveraging in terms of the De Ligt interest.” He added.

Now that Romelu Lukaku has been sorted out, expect to see a lot of deals being done by Chelsea. They are interested in Matthijs de Ligt, Richarlison, Raphinha, Declan Rice and are trying to sign Jules Kounde.

Marina Exit: Chelsea Line Up Possible Option For Their Next Sporting Director

It is no news that Marina Granovskaia has departed Chelsea after many wonderful years working for Roman Abramovich. We’ll agree she’s one of the people affected by the sanctions imposed on the Roman-Chelsea ownership.

Chelsea have some names lined up possibly for the replacement of Marina as Todd Boehly, Peter Cech and Thomas Tuchel are co-handling the issues of Sporting director right now.

Ben Jacobs thinks “Edwards will be Chelsea’s first port of call (for Sporting Director). I know for a fact Paul Mitchell keen on the role (Sporting Director) at Chelsea. If Chelsea came calling he would be very very interested.”

Michael Edwards would likely be given freedom over his targets if he were to become Chelsea sporting director. It remains to be seen where his next destination is.

The prospect of Michael Emenalo, who left his role as Chelsea’s technical director in 2017, returning to Stamford Bridge shouldn’t be discounted.

Mitchell is the second choice behind Edwards. So the odds are one of Edwards or Mitchell will be Chelsea’s Sporting Director. Ben Jacobs added, per CBS Sports

Chelsea  Putting Up Offer For To Beat Barca, Arsenal, Tottenham For Leeds Raphinha

Matt Barlow reported that Chelsea are serious about putting together an offer for Leeds United’s Raphinha. They are meant to beat Barca, Arsenal, Leeds, Tottenham etc to land the Brazilian.

Fabrizio Romano confirms that “Chelsea have explored the situation [of Raphinha] with a direct call from Todd Boehly. I know that Arteta is really in love with Raphinha, but Tottenham and Chelsea are absolutely in the race.”

“I know that Arteta is really in love with Raphinha, but Tottenham & Chelsea are in the race. Raphinha had given his OK to Barcelona as a priority, but is now really open to listening to English clubs. The decision will take a few days.” He aided.

With Barca not in financial position to pay what Leeds are asking, Chelsea will have the advantage over other clubs with Ziyech who’s open to leaving Chelsea.

Nevertheless, Leeds have been lining up replacement options for Raphinha should he leave, and Hakim Ziyech is on their radar. It could lead to a possibility where the players swap clubs.

Frankie De Jong: Barca Set Their Ground For United In Pursuit Of Midfielder.

Barcelona want upwards of £70m for Frenkie de Jong, while Manchester United are understood to be willing to pay an initial fee of around £60m, with a further £5m in add-ons.

Barcelona can only reinvest in their squad a third of what they make through player sales or save in wages. Sources close to the negotiating process for Frenkie de Jong say that is the issue Barca are using to drive up the asking price.

Barcelona have blamed La Liga’s strict financial rules for their tough negotiating stance on Frenkie de Jong during transfer talks with mufc.

Old Trafford bosses are demanding that the size of the fee reflects the fact Barcelona want to offload the player but Barcelona have insisted their hands are tied by La Liga.

The Mirror reports United would prefer to spend a base fee of between £50m-£60m for Frenkie de Jong and are conscious that agreeing to a significantly higher amount would hamper efforts to spend on other areas of the squad.

Antony Fancies United Move: United Working To Secure Deal Despite Ajax Asking Price.

Manchester United are really interested and already had contacts to explore potential deal – not the only club, but with ten Hag pushing.

Antony is determined to join mufc this summer even though Ajax are demanding £69m for him. United have already spoken to Ajax about Antony and initially hoped to pay £40m.

Ajax’s idea a few days ago was to keep Antony for another year, but united are pushing hard and are willing to make a great offer, which has opened the door to a possible transfer.

Antony is hopeful and believes he is ready to play in the Premier League. Ajax are expected to resist mufc’s opening bid for the player, which is set to be around the £40m mark.
