Kepa Opens Up On Potential Athletic Bilbao Return

Kepa Arizabalaga who has fallen off the pecking order at Chelsea since the arrival of Edourd Mendy has been on the list of outgoing players.

As the player wants a regular first team football, clubs across Europe has been monitoring his situation, and he will so be open to moving to a new club. Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and so on are on him

The player recently opened up on his Atletic Bilbao return saying: “You never know. I have three more years of contract with Chelsea, and in football we don’t even know where we are going to be tomorrow. We’ll see what happens.”

He emphasised on his future saying “Right now I’m a Chelsea player, but what is clear to me is that I want to play more, because I’ve come from a year or two where, when I’ve played, I’ve had great performances.”

“For the good performances I’ve had, the feeling is that I want more. I want to play more. I’m at Chelsea and I want to succeed here. And if I can’t, we would look at different things, because my clear objective is to play.”

“At the end of the day, I’m at a very big club. I will talk to the coach and we will decide, but with the clear message that I want to play more.”

Kepa continued: “We came from a not so elaborate game (with Lampard). We didn’t have to take the ball from behind, a less planned game, more (about) the free expression of the player, back and forth and less control.”

“With Tuchel we have returned to control. It is true that in the Premier League we were not close to the top two, but in the other tournaments we were very competitive. He added

Chelsea Becomes Unwilling To Match Sevilla’s Asking Price For Jules Kounde

Chelsea seem unwilling to match Sevilla’s demands of €65m for Koundé at this moment in time. The blues are only willing to pay €55m they offered last summer.

For Jules Koundé, it is seen as more of a club target for Chelsea, with Marina Granovskaia pushing the move as mentioned before. Tuchel prefers De Ligt and Kimpembe to Jules Kounde.

Ben Jacobs believes “I was always told Sevilla will hold out for close to the release clause for Jules Kounde. I think it will be resolved and he’ll sign. Chelsea might have to make up the difference with add-ons. My feeling is that deal will get done.”

Barça’s offer for Jules Koundé is a loan fee of €23M + an obligation to buy for €40M. Sevilla favor this option because it would mean Bordeaux (who have a sell-on clause) only receive 20% of the €40M, and none of the €23M loan fee.
