Latest Update On Chelsea Take-Over As Officials Finally Disclose Selected Bidder

Chelsea take-over is expected within the next 10 days after preferred bidder was revealed today

The West Londoners await to discover their new owner after Roman Abramovich’s sanction caused major tumoil.

With the sanction affecting the club, Chelsea are unable to involve in transfer activities, unless departures.

This has caused the English side be open to major risk of losing several top stars including Rudiger who will be joining Real Madrid soon.

But the wait won’t be very long anymore as Chelsea would soon learn of their new boss after it was announced today of who the preferred bidder is.

Hansjörg Wyss and Todd Boehly have won the race to buy Chelsea in a deal worth over £3.5billion, despite a dramatic late hijack attempt from Britain’s richest man Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Sir Jim’s entry into the race to buy Chelsea is thought to have come too late, although there remains a possibility that he could buy Chelsea if the Boehly-led bid is unable to be completed.

Sources close to the process have indicated that the Boehly group will now have a ‘period of time’ – understood to be between 5 and 7 days – to ratify an exclusivity agreement to indicate their full intentions to press ahead with a take over.

The total bid from the Boehly team was in excess of £4BN as Boehly group source confirms they will now enter “exclusive talks” to buy Chelsea.

There is “surprise and bemusement” at the timing of Ratcliffe’s statement/offer. But the situation is clear now: the Boehly group is the preferred bidder.
