Chelsea have managed to come into the story as they make a huge attempt to overtake Barcelona in pursuit to land Lewandowski
Roberto Lewandowski has confirmed he will be leaving Bayern Munich this summer after 8-years with the German giants.
The former Borussia Dortmund man has remained on Chelsea’s radar even before he headed for Bayern Munich as they were in the contest to sign him from Dortmund.
Things could finally fall into place now following Thomas Tuchel being a great fan of the 33-year-old striker.
Chelsea have a striker at hand but very likely they will do away with him, with a move to Tottenham to reunite with Antonio Conte looking very likely.
Conte will clearly ask Tottenham to push for Lukaku this summer after seeing ‘his beast’ struggle to fit in at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea will be willing to sell when time is right.
Ahead of what may befall them this season, the Blues have already started talks to land Roberto Lewandowski as he leaves Bayern Munich.
Speaking in to our reporters, Lewandowski dropped a major hint that could mean Chelsea having a hope on getting his signature despite having earlier confessed his want to play for Barcelona.
“Yes, everyone already knows I am leaving Bayern Munich after a very long time and am happy with all I have achieved here,” Lewandowski said.
“I have not reached any agreement with any club yet as that will be taken care of by my agent who is already on it.
“It’s his duty to speak to the clubs and it’s my duty to play the football and score goals when I can.
“I believe he will make the right decision from the many clubs that are already talking with him. Am happy with the way things are going.”
Should Chelsea present a better offer, it’s likely Barcelona won’t be considered a factor anymore in the former Dortmund man’s future.
