Arsenal are reportedly very interested in signing Lille’s midfield maestro Renato Sanches this summer after his impressive performances at Euro 2020.
Renato Sanches is open to joining a Premier league side and with his club, Lille reportedly in the process of selling players to raise funds, an exit looks likely with Arsenal hoping to get their man.
The Portuguese international aroused interest from top clubs after his back to back impressive display for Portugal in the Euros and Arsenal have started negotiations.
Sanches spent a season with his former team-mate who is now an Arsenal player, Gabriel Magalhaes since 2019 and the 23-year-old was teased on Instagram with a message saying “come to Arsenal” by Gabriel.
Sanches responded, “I’m [waiting] for your invitation” and it is this relationship between the two players and even Nicolas Pepe that is giving the Gunners confidence that they can get a deal over the line.
The highly talented Midfielder won the Ligue 1 title with Lille and although he was down with injuries during the campaign, he was very instrumental to the French side.
However, Renato Sanches have broken his silence on the rumors linking him away from his parent club.
When asked to give an update on his Future, Renato said: “I’m still a Lille player, that’s all I know”.
Arsenal undoubtedly need fresh midfield reinforcements and will do all what it takes to land the £62M valued Midfielder.
