Man United At Advantage Over Cody Gakpo Deal Amid Real Madrid Interest

Gapko contemplated a move to Leeds when United fell behind in the competition for his services prior to the start of the 2022/23 season, but the attacker was not convinced by a move to Elland Road.

Leeds was optimistic that a deal could be reached with PSV for Gakpo, but the Dutch giants ultimately refused to negotiate, a decision from which they will now benefit.

Gakpo is on the list of those who finished the world cup group stages with a perfect run, scoring 3 in 3 matches ( a goal in each match).

The 23-year-old winger was the subject of conversations with Erik ten Hag earlier this summer before the United head coach paid big on Antony following his €100m arrival from Ajax.

Gakpo admitted been furious when things didn’t go well, as to Man United landing his signature at the summer, which made him thought of other offers, but as things are at the time, he is open to consider a bid from United.

English clubs like Everton and Southampton have also shown interest in the Dutchman, who is now being monitored by Real Madrid, Liverpool, and United.

Gakpo is expected to appear in the Dutch colours tomorrow, as they face the Messi led Argentina in the quarter final round of the World Cup at the Lusail Stadium.
