The Red Devils are forced back into the transfer market following the sudden injury of their first option Goalie, Andre Onana
Manchester United are already keeping tabs on some Goalies as a possible replacement for their injured Goalkeeper; Andre Onana who was forced out of Cameroon’s game just 10mins after kick off.
Reports gathered disclosed Onana was subbed off following an abductor injury but a report from Mirror has claimed the injury isn’t as bad as it’s feared.
Man United aren’t willing to risk surprises and have already started planning for an unforeseen events that may arise. Following investigations gathered by Somtosport, it’s understood that United have already shortlisted 4 goalkeepers from which they will sign an additional Goalie.

With Onana’s absence, Tom Heaton who is currently second option for the goalpost will get the opportunity to convince Erik ten Hag he deserves more playing time in United shirt. However, the presence of Heaton isn’t convincing enough to cause United to back off their option of landing another Goalie.
Ahead of the January window, United are now looking to hire a Goalie who won’t only serve as a replacement but also serve as a competition to Andre Onana who has in the past few games slipped and produced worrisome howlers.
The Board is indeed behind Onana and are open to the idea of keeping him for the longer time however, they have also considered employing an extra Goalie as a good move.
Paulo Gazzaniga

Gazzaniga is one name that United board have secretly admired for a couple of seasons but never came to a conclusion of opening a bid for him.
Prior the signing of Andre Onana, discussions was held within as to whether the 31-year-old would be finally called but age was a major deal breaker.
The Argentine has been a significant part of the Girona’s success so far in the La Liga as they currently lead the table with 2 points gap and United are now considering finally going in for him.
Alexander Nubel

The 27-year-old is one of the favorites on the list as he fits properly into the project the Board is planning with Erik ten Hag but a major problem for Man United would be convincing Bayern Munich to let the play make the switch.
Bayern have Nubel as a future replacement for Manuel Neur hence the decision of sending him on loan to Stuttgart and with his performances so far, it’s unlikely Bayern would easily sign off on Nubel.
Man United believe an offer around 10m euros may be able to do the trick for them if they finally decide to go with Nubel for the winter window.
Philip Kohn

Kohn appears to be another perfect fit on the list according to our sources closer to the club as it’s understood that the suggestions are mostly leading to the 25-year-old whenever the topic is discussed.
Monaco won’t be a hard nut to crack like Bayern Munich but they won’t as well bow to any offer below 10m euros for Kohn who has featured in most of their matches this season.
Erik ten Hag personally admires Kohn due to his ability to read the game and most times pass vital information about opponents to his teammates. Kohn also has improved massively in his 1v1 ability since the start of the new season.
Diogo Costa

Of course the list would be incomplete without the inclusion of Costa who has been publicly admired by Man United in the past. The club have his name up on the list and appears to most likely be settling for his services for all things remain as it currently is.
Somtosport understands that the 24-year-old won’t be a cheap purchase for United as they may have to break the bank to land the Porto man. Costa would cost Man United slightly lower than they acquired Andre Onana, if not same 50m euros.
The Goalkeeper’s contract with Porto is still up till 2027 and to convince the Dragons to sell would mean paying the required amount.
I prefer Costa, he is good and also will be better competition for Onana.
