Manchester United preparing to battle Chelsea this weekend are hoping they can land a new manager before then but are also hopeful Michael Carrick can deliver against their rivals

United see this as a major boost as they prepare to take on the West Londonders without a proper manager.
The last two meetings between these teams have ended in a goalless draws and United are hoping to at least continue the draw while Chelsea in their impressive form are only pushing for a win.

Man United Make Mouth-Watering Offer To Michael Carrick
According to sources, United are already considering leaving Carrick in charge for a longer period of time.
Following Ole Solskjaer’s sack, former United player, Micheal Carrick has been installed as caretaker manager of the Red Devils.
But during this installment, United never had in mind to leave him in the post for a longer time.
The move was to keep things in check while start pursuing a permanent manager.

Things haven’t actually gone as smooth as they thought and have also considered appointing an interim manager which has also been fruitless.
Mauricio Pochettino is one said to be at the top of the want list but the PSG boss has shared he isn’t interested in leaving Paris.
Ernesto Valverde is said to have also held talks with the club but nothing to show for it yet as United begin to learn how tough it could be to land even an interim manager who can help them till the end of the season.
With all these in check, Man United have offered Micheal Carrick an offer that could see him remain in charge until the end of the season.

According to our sources closer to the club, Somtosport understands that United are ready to leave Carrick as manager should he be able to provide a sharp upturn in their performances.
This would make the club believe they are in a safer hand with Micheal Carrick who worked with Ole Solskjaer till his sack.
Carrick has already shown to be promising following a 2-0 win against Villarreal but the match against Chelsea this weekend will be huge test to the Manchester based side.
