Chelsea failed to lift the Carabao Cup after Kepa Arrizabalaga was substituted for Edouard Mendy
The Spaniard took the last kick of the penalties and disappointedly fired it wide above the goal post, crowning Liverpool Champions.
Having sat on the bench until the last minutes, Thomas Tuchel made the decision to bring on Kepa Arrizabalaga as he is considered better penalty saver than Edouard Mendy.
But the 27-year-old was one to singlehandedly send Chelsea back home empty handed as he made zero penalty saves and still fired wide his one kick.
This has already raised lots of eyebrows including that of Edouard Mendy’s wife who claims the Spaniard may have done what he did intentionally.

Although it seems unprofessional to make such clam against a Keeper who plays for same team as her husband but Belinda didn’t care about professionalism.
Speaking to reporters via a zoom call, she said; “The game wasn’t what we expected. I remember calling my husband after the game and he sounded sad.
“We all know if he had remained in the post, maybe the result would have turned out different, maybe he could have even saved some of the penalties.
“He talked alot about that game before that day and am not happy that things happened that way.
“I still suspect maybe Kepa did that intentionally to get back at the club for something I don’t know but I have a feeling it’s intentional.
“The last time, his woman had called out my husband saying he is Kepa’s problems and all that. But that’s the past now.
“Chelsea need to work harder now, put things in order, certain things shouldn’t be happening in such a club.”
