Tuchel has always left out Tammy Abraham since he returned from injury
Despite having more goals than Timo Werner, Abraham still has more bench days than Werner who has mostly missed sitters that could have handed them an important lead.
But yet the German coach has greater faith in his country man who proved himself while still with RB Leipzig.
Tammy Abraham has reportedly reached a point of no return in his Chelsea career and after hearing Aston Villa fans chant his name, the 23-year-old could favor a move back to Villa park.
Abraham helped the Villans make it to the premier league during his loan spell, netting 25 goals in 37 league appearances.
Although Chelsea have decided to game over for Abraham, Tuchel could be forced into reconsidering his picks after former Manchester City full back made a logical comparison between Werner and the English man.
According to 32-year-old, Timo Werner has always been a hard worker but Tammy has been the better scorer.
“We’ve seen, when Tammy Abraham has had chances, he can score. We’ve seen that,” Micah Richards said
“Werner has been unlucky. I don’t buy it when people say he is not a good striker. He has been very unlucky with offsides, goals coming off his arm, or hitting the bar.
“If seven or eight of those go in, we are saying different things and he has had a good season.
“But his runs are devastating. He is relentless, he keeps going and going, but we know with the ball in the box, Tammy Abraham will score goals, so I am confused.
Tammy having same opportunities as Werner would have surely brought Chelsea more goals but Thomas Tuchel has always picked the hard worker over the fine finisher.
Chelsea are in line for their final action of the season on Saturday when they face Manchester City for the final of the UEFA Champions League and it remains unlikely Tammy Abraham will get a chance after being snubbed on the FA Cup final day.
