Norwich Sends Message To Arsenal Board Over Emiliano Buendia Transfer

Arsenal are keen on signing Emiliano Buendia from Norwich and would put in a bid soon according to reports.

However, the Canaries have confirmed to the Gunners that they won’t be selling their best player for less than £30m during the transfer window.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with the 24-year-old for a couple of months now but those links are just mere speculations and Arsenal haven’t made a concrete move.

Emiliano Buendia ensured the Canaries secured a return to the Premier League after scoring 15 goals and 16 assists in the Championship while also winning the Player of the year.

These series of impressive performances from the Argentine have attracted interests and caught the attention of big clubs with Arsenal considering putting in a bid.

Buendia was quizzed about his future earlier this Month and his response might have given an hint on his future.

‘You always dream of being at the highest level and in the best teams in England, Spain and Europe,’ he said.

‘You dream of challenging for titles, it is an ambition that I have.

‘It’s a source of pride that important clubs are interested in you as it means that you are doing things well and it provides motivation to continue working and one day achieve it.’

But Stuart Webber[Norwich sporting director] have now confirmed that for Emiliano Buendia to leave this summer, a club record money bid must come in.

‘If we do sell one, it’s going to be a club-record deal,’ Webster said.

‘It’s probably going to start with a number three in front of it and that will give us great opportunities to maybe make the whole squad better as well.

‘We’re really relaxed on that front.’ He added.

The Gunners  will now be looking to put in an official bid in the coming days should negotiations fail with Real Madrid for Martin Ødegaard.
