The Blues have now officially parted ways with Fikayo Tomori as he makes his AC Milan stay permanent
Fikayo Tomori helped the Italian side to UEFA Champions League qualification and the side never hid their intentions to own him permanently.
Prior the move completed minutes ago, Fikayo Tomori spent an impressive season at AC Milan on a season long loan from Chelsea.
The loan had option for Milan to make his stay permanent if they were impressed with his skills.
Tomori broke into Frank Lampard’s defense and was later on sent on loan to the Serie A side.
Despite the management switch, Tomori appeared not to have his future at Chelsea as even Thomas Tuchel didn’t want him back.
Tomori has made 22 appearances since his January move to Milan as he quickly broke into the starting 11.
On conforming his departure, Chelsea wrote on their official website; “Chelsea is grateful to Fikayo for his contributions at the club, from youth level to men’s first-team squad, and wishes him the very best in his future career.”
In response, Fikayo Tomori took to his Twitter page to thank the Blues for their role in his career.
