Pep Guardiola Issues Worrisome Injury Update Amid Erling Haaland Half Time Sub

Erling Haaland could be out of Manchester City’s next game according to hints dropped by the club manager on Tuesday night following draw against Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City shared spoils with Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park with Erling Haaland unable to remain in the pitch until the end of the game after been taken off by Pep Guardiola at half time.

The Norwegian couldn’t find the back of the net against his former side with Mahrez failing to convert the closest chance City had to take the lead yesterday, from the penalty spot.

Haaland has proven to be the best signing of the summer, netting 17 goals in 11 Premier League games for the Cityzens.

City are although through into the round of 16 already and didn’t consider the match against Dortmund much of an importance as even Kevin De Bruyne was left on the bench.

Starting Erling Haaland may now cost Guardiola some time without the number 9 after he was taken off at halftime following an injury fear.

Speaking to the press, Guardiola said of Haaland’s early sub; “[There were] three things. I saw him so tired. Second one, he had a little bit of influenza in his body. Like Joao – Joao had a fever.”

City turn to Leicester City on Saturday as they look to close the 2 points gap between first placed Arsenal.
