The Spaniard disappointedly lost for the third time he has come up against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea side
It’s arguably fact to say Tuchel is a better manager than Pep Guardiola who recently lost for the third consecutive time to the German.
It indeed wasn’t the first time both men have been in a league together but the other times Tuchel managed a weaker side but still managed to cause Guardiola problems when they meet.
Last night portrayed a weaker Guardiola pick, especially his midfield selection but the former Barcelona manager has claimed he has no regrets for his selection.
“I picked the best team that I thought would win the game – and the players know it,” Guardiola said.

“I still think it has been an exceptional season for us, but this is our first Champions League final and we will learn from this experience.
“I did my best with the selection. I think we played a good game and that we played with courage, especially in the second half when we deserved a goal.”
Chelsea in next season would become major title contenders and Pep Guardiola knows he only has to tighten his belts so as to stay in line.
