James has disclosed how he has always managed to deal with uncertainty at Chelsea and get back on track
Reece James managed to complete a superb comeback from injury after missing months of Chelsea football.
The period of absence wasn’t very easy for James who shared that he managed to keep fighting and thanked his teammates for the encouragements he received.
Speaking in an interview as Blues prepare for the return to action next weekend, James has named the Chelsea player who helps him most whenever he is unsure about things.
The Chelsea captain also went over his injury spell, explaining how the fight was; “There are times you feel things, but all you want to do is play. Then you push and realise something has happened.
“My body gave me a warning, but I didn’t listen. I’m more aware now when something is screaming, slow down a bit.”
“Thiago probably helps me the most whenever I’m unsure, or I feel like I need advice on something.
“He is nearly old enough to be my dad! So he is the person I go to. It’s not for me to say what sort of captain I am, but I’ve enjoyed it so far. It’s an honour.
“The captaincy has been great, but it was difficult when I wasn’t fit because it is hard to affect things as much when I’m not with the group all the time. Thiago probably helps me the most whenever I’m unsure, or I feel like I need advice…”
