The Italian team appears keen on their decision for Manuel Locatelli amid Interest from Chelsea
The 23-year-old is considered a good option for Chelsea‘s midfield as the Blues have already made contacts for a transfer move.
Locatelli is superb with his ability to win back balls and has gone up the ranks in Serie A to draw interests from several top flight teams including Chelsea and Manchester City.
Having been picked as one of the best 50 young players by Guardian, Locatelli is keen on a move to the English Premier League but his club have asked for more time.
According to Sassuolo CEO, the club would only make clear decisions after the Euro competition but very much likey he would leave the club this summer.
Speaking on Locatelli’s future, Giovanni Carnevali said; “We’ll decide after the Euros, we want to make Manuel happy [selling him this summer].
“Many clubs from top European leagues are interested in him.”
Chelsea are now left with Manchester City to battle for his signature as other suitors are likely to come in.
Locatelli is a midfield guru and could provide similar services to that of N’Golo Kante.
And to Manchester City he can be a good option for holding midfield role.
