Solskjaer Singles Out Two United Stars As Key To United's Derby Draw Last Night

United boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer has opined on two players that were key to the Devils sharing the spoils with local rivals, Manchester City at Old Trafford last night.

The Devils put up a tough fight in last night’s derby after crashing out of the Uefa Champions League group stage midweek.

In a fiercely competed derby, the Devils managed to create some chances almost breaking down the city defense a couple of occasions.

Speaking to the press in the aftermath of last nights draw, Solskjaer was quick to heap praises on number one goalkeeper, David Dea for making some impressive saves to keep the scoreline in parity.

The Norwegian also praised skipper Harry Maguire for his defensive exploits through the derby.

“It’s a tight game. Two good teams. We beat them a few times last season but those were different games and we counter-attacked” He said.

“Today was the most we’ve been in the game as in possession-wise and control. We kept them away from our box more than we’ve done in those games [last season] but they had a few big moments.”

“We could have won it. I’m very happy with the attitude, the spirit and the recovery made from Tuesday night”

“It was a big blow and a big setback, of course. David has made a fantastic save from [Riyad] Mahrez, Harry made two great blocks from [Raheem] Sterling and [Kevin] De Bruyne, I think it was”

It was great and I have to say, the defending was great. We stood up. We stuck together as a team. We did really well. They didn’t create too many moments and, of course, we wanted to score ourselves.” He concluded.

The Red outfit will travel to South Yorkshire on Thursday for Sheffield United clash, with hopes of getting back to winning ways in the premier league after falling on their four consecutive winning run.
