Man United despite already planned a major squad flush, would be losing one player that could have been instrumental to Erik ten Hag’s rebuilding process
The Red Devils while still celebrating the appointment of their new manager, Erik ten Hag, has received the decision of one of their talented players who wishes to use the exit door.
Somtosport understands that with the appointment of Erik ten Hag, several players in the squad are already fidgeting over their place in the team.
United unveiled the 53-year-old on Monday afternoon after having long penned a contract with the club.
Several of the team members who are considering exit have decided to wait and see what the future would look like under Erik ten Hag, but not for their Ivorian back man.
Eric Bailly lost his place in the Man United squad when Ole Solskjaer decided to overlook the floppy display from Harry Maguire and put the African on the bench while Maguire remained in the starting eleven letting balls past his legs.
Thinking things would take a new turn when Ole was sacked, Bailly was greatly disappointed when Ralf Rangnick came in and continued similar pattern to that of Ole.
Although it was made clear that Ralf’s tenure is a short term project but Bailly isn’t having that story as he already made up his mind.
The player has now decided to leave the team as he wouldn’t want to experiment his time under another manager and end up not given time to prove if he’s worth playing time.
More to follow.
