According to Tuchel, no manager wouldn’t want Lionel Messi in his squad
Tuchel never knew someday, Lionel Messi despite wanting to stay with Barcelona will be asked to leave so as to save the club from financial mayhem.
The Blues have been linked on a possible move to land the Argentine playmaker since Barcelona confirmed won’t be continuing with them.
“Despite FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi having reached an agreement and the clear intention of both parties to sign a new contract today, this cannot happen because of Spanish LaLiga regulations on player registration,” Barcelona said on their official website.
“As a result of this situation, Messi shall not be staying on at FC Barcelona. Both parties deeply regret that the wishes of the player and the club will ultimately not be fulfilled.

“FC Barcelona wholeheartedly expresses its gratitude to the player for his contribution to the aggrandisement of the club and wishes him all the very best for the future in his personal and professional life.”
Messi has so far been linked to several clubs with PSG being the only team to have reportedly submitted an official offer for his signature.
Chelsea manager, with Blues now in links too after it was reported Abramovic has asked of an urgent meeting with Messi, shares good ideology of the attacker.
Speaking back in 2020 after losing with Munich while still with Paris Saint German, Tuchel said;
“He’s very welcome!” Tuchel said. “Which coach says no to Messi?!”
“I think Messi finishes his career in Barcelona,” he added. “He is Barcelona and it’s good like that.”
