But while he was shown the door at Paris Saint German, the former Mainz manager kept hold of a shoe the Parisians president gifted him.

According to Tuchel, he had promised to wear the shoe to their final against Bayern Munich but failed to and believes it’s part of the reasons they lost to the German Giants.

And in order to fulfil this promise of wearing this shoes to a final, Tuchel kept it safe and secured until May 29th, 2021 when he decided to fulfill his promise to his former club.

“I forgot that I had these shoes in Paris and I made a promise that I would wear these shoes when we reached the Champions League final. They were a present from the president of PSG.

“I promised to my staff that I would wear them when we went to the final, but I did not wear them and we lost.
