The Blues have just added to their list one of the best strikers in Europe as we look at possible ways they can layout in the new season
Chelsea still have until Tuesday midnight to register their new signing for the UEFA Super Cup game against Villarreal on Wednesday.
Prior to Lukaku’s arrival, Tuchel mostly opted using Timo Werner as a top 9 or Tammy Abraham but Werner definitely got more time compared to Abraham who is strongly linked to an exit.
But considering how things have gone with the German, Tuchel is considering permanently using Werner as a winger since he has more assists playing as a winger than scoring as a striker.
Lukaku has proven to be a top scorer with 251 career goals so far such who can help fire up Chelsea conversation rate.
Possible Chelsea New Line Up
During the pre-season game against Peterborough, Chelsea scored their highest number of goals so far under Thomas Tuchel.
Hakim Ziyech booked hattrick in the 6-1 victory and all these happened while Tuchel tested a new formation.
Initially the German Tactician maps out his squad 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 formation but during the game against Peterborough, Tuchel tested a 4-2-4 formation.
This helped flood more attackers and thereby increase scoring rate.
Somtosports suggest that Tuchel may prefer linking up Kai Havertz and Romelu Lukaku upfront while fielding the 4-2-4 formation.
Timo Werner may now mostly be used as a winger at the left side.
