Chelsea are now becoming confident they can announce Thomas Tuchel permanent replacement today after sacking the German
Thomas Tuchel is still yet to recover from the shock of his sudden sack by the Chelsea board and the club has already moved towards replacing him.
Following his 10-minutes conference call with the club Board, Tuchel saw his plea to be granted more time hit deaf ear as he was told there no more time for him.
Chelsea have now made contacts with possible replacement after been granted access to discuss with the manager by his current club.
With three names already lined up, Chelsea are closing in heavily on the first on their list as only a failure to sign him would mean turning to the other two.
Brighton manager, Graham Potter is the most favorite for this position and he has already been reported at Stamford Bridge to discuss terms with Chelsea.
Potter will be willing to leave Brighton for a Champions League project with Chelsea and also a permanent position as Tuchel’s successor.
Chelsea are willing to pay the £16M clause binded to his Brighton contract once agreement has been reached with him.
Todd Boehly believes Tuchel isn’t the right person to fit into the project for the long-term and that’s not actually what he wants. The American is looking at a contract that would span around 5 to 10 years.
