Barcelona have reportedly opened offer for Marcos Alonso
Chelsea wing back, Marcos Alonso is linked to a move to the Spanish La Liga with Barcelona as a destination.
The Spaniard saw a place back into the squad following the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as Frank Lampard’s replacement.
With his chance handed to him, Alonso provided a thunderous goal on his first game back, making everyone doubt Lampard’s reasons to have benched the back man.

But over time, Tuchel preferred using Chilwell for the role and such limited Alonso’s number of appearances for the Blues.

The summer transfer window has presented an escape route for Alonso with Barcelona already eyeing up move for him.
But according to Mundo Deportivo, Thomas Tuchel still needs Alonso in his squad and as such has asked for him to stay back.
Tuchel is fully aware of Barcelona’s seriousness in the deal and knows they can try forcing out a deal.
This has led to him demanding for the defender to be kept in the squad at all cost so as to wedge off interest from the Catalans.
Alonso was lately linked as a swap option for Chelsea to land Hakimi Achraf but having lost the transfer battle to Paris Saint German, Chelsea have reportedly also raised his price tag.

The Blues are now more keen to retain the 30-year-old who still has his contract until 2023.
