Thomas Tuchel Reveals Unique Thing Antonio Rudiger Did On The Day He Asked To Leave Chelsea

The German disclosed that he knew from the look of things, something wasn’t right but didn’t know it would be that bad

Chelsea Manager Thomas Tuchel has shared that want-away defender, Antonio Rudiger displayed an unusual character on the day he asked to leave.

The Germans are known to have a very strong relationship but sadly for Chelsea fans, this bond isn’t strong enough to make Rudiger forfeit his exit plans.

Despite coming up the ranks to be one of fans most loved players, Rudiger is keen on leaving Chelsea this summer.

Somtosport understands that Real Madrid are on the front role to snatch the player once he ceases to become a Chelsea player.

Rudiger has shared good memories with Chelsea, winning several trophies across his 4-years stay at the club.

Arriving back in 2017, the former Roma defender is just 4 games behind making 200 appearances for a side that he has with won the Europa League, Champions League, Super Cup, Club World Cup, and the FA Cup.

Some other players could consider staying put for one more season to see if adding the Premier League trophy to his cabinet would be made possible but certainly not Rudiger.

The 29-year-old has been disclosed by Chelsea Manager to have done something he never does on that very day he asked to leave.

According to Tuchel, Rudiger is such a fun person that he doesn’t even knock when heading into his office and everyone has known that part of him.

But on that fateful day while the team was heading out for training session, Thomas Tuchel heard a knock and it was Rudiger then he knew right there and then that it wasn’t going to be a good one.

“When Toni knocks at your door one hour before training, it is not a good sign,” Thomas Tuchel said.

“Normally he does not knock and just grabs you in between if he wants to tell you something.

“He knocks before training, and everybody was like ‘oh no, come on, it’s not looking good’, and we had a brief conversation.”

Rudiger has been out of action since his injury after the Real Madrid game where he even booked a spot on the goal-board.

He was caught on camera in a white t-shirt on the sidelines on Saturday as Chelsea produced a late-time victory against West Ham United.

Chelsea are back in action tonight as they lock horns with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
