The German has endured critics amid several sitters missed bit never let any of these held him back
But it wasn’t a much celebrated much for Timo Werner who continued his goal drought after his most recent miss against Real Madrid.
The miss against Los Blancos of course did heightened up the criticisms directed at the former Leipzig goal machine but didn’t do bring him to faint.
Timo Werner flushed in a super assist to help Kai Havertz to his second goal as this also marked a combo of 10 goals + assists for the 25-year-old.
The last Chelsea player to reach the double figure stat in his debut season for Blues was Eden Hazard.

This of course marks how relevant Werner has been despite having a struggling season.
Speaking of his impact in the game, Chelsea manager; Thomas Tuchel said:
‘Timo was involved in many chances, Mason [Mount] was outstanding and always involved.
‘Kai played double striker with Timo and the two had a good connection and were always dangerous.
‘There is still a lot to improve but another good performance. We need him [Havertz] spot on to achieve our goals.
‘There are many reasons to maybe talk about why it is a difficult situation [for Havertz in his first season in England] but in the end you are responsible for yourself and he is.
‘He must adapt as quick as possible. That is what he is doing and that is what we demand of him.’
Chelsea hopes to advance past Real Madrid into the finals of the Champions League on Wednesday after managing to hold the former Champions to a 1-1 draw in Spain.
