We Played Better Without Him – Erik ten Hag Sends Disturbing Note To Highly Rated Man United Player

Erik ten Hag may have finally found his best starting eleven after the Red Devils stunned Liverpool in a 2-1 victory

Manchester United were the better side as they went on to beat Liverpool on Monday night with Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho booking spots on the score sheet.

Despite an attempt to bring the Reds back on level ground, Mohamed Salah’s header goal wasn’t enough to dash out United’s 2 goal lead but could only take out one.

The former Ajax man decided to go in with a very different eleven compared to his last two games, fielding Elanga, Sancho and Rashford in the front while Bruno Fernandes started out as the team leader while Harry Maguire got a cold spot on the sidelines.

Varane did a very good job with Lisandro Martinez who paired with the former Madrid star and was seen to be the best defender in the game yesterday.

Errors were made but David De Gea had that positive energy at the back to keep these out after Bruno Fernandes and even Martinez himself tried to put the ball past their own goal.

Watching from the sidelines was Harry Maguire who didn’t get some minutes yesterday as it’s now looking like his time at the club will now face major challenge.

Speaking after the game, ten Hag confirmed that he got what he needed from the defense while Maguire wasn’t involved.

“I like the way the boys played, they all impressed me alot and am really encouraged that we can do better in the next games,” ten Hag said.

“We all need that turning point and I believe this is it, that period we have been waiting for. Let’s see how things go from here.”

Asked about leaving Maguire out, ten Hag continued, “We played well without him today, the defense was good which shows we have a good replacement for him incase of injuries.

“Am still evaluating our options on whether we need new names or not but we will do our best.”
