Barcelona and Liverpool Monitoring Chelsea’s Estêvão Amid Uncertainty

Football Focus understands that both clubs are keeping an eye on the 19-year-old, while ESPN Brazil has reported that Estêvão is currently unhappy with his situation at Chelsea.

The Brazilian has struggled for regular Premier League minutes at the beginning of the 2026/27 season. He has made four league appearances, all from the bench, and has played only 47 minutes across those matches.

That situation has led to growing speculation about his future, particularly with Barcelona and Liverpool now monitoring his circumstances.

According to transfer reporter Ekrem Konur, both clubs admire Estêvão's ability in one-on-one situations. However, Chelsea have no intention of selling the winger and are understood to regard him as an important part of their long-term plans.

Chelsea are also reportedly placing a high valuation on the Brazilian, with figures of €110 million to €120 million being reported. There have been no formal negotiations between the clubs at this stage.

Estêvão's lack of Premier League opportunities is particularly notable because he had a more prominent role during his first season at Stamford Bridge, despite missing part of the campaign through injury. He made 18 Premier League starts last season.

Alonso has previously praised the youngster's attitude in training and indicated that opportunities would come as the season progresses. Estêvão has also started in cup competitions, giving him another route to increased playing time.

For now, Barcelona and Liverpool are monitoring rather than negotiating. Chelsea's position remains that Estêvão is part of their future plans, but his playing time could become an important factor if the situation does not change.
