Crystal Palace are reportedly preparing an offer for Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi as they step up plans to strengthen their defense ahead of the new Premier League season.

According to reports attributed to Fabrice Hawkins, the French defender has emerged as Palace's top target to replace Maxence Lacroix, with discussions between the two clubs already underway.

Disasi joined Chelsea from AS Monaco in 2023 and has made numerous appearances for the Blues, but increased competition for places at Stamford Bridge has cast doubt over his long-term future. A move to Selhurst Park could offer the 27-year-old the opportunity for regular first-team football.

For Crystal Palace, securing an experienced Premier League defender has become a priority following uncertainty surrounding Lacroix's future. Disasi's physical presence, aerial ability, and experience at both club and international level make him an attractive option for Oliver Glasner's side.

While talks are ongoing, no agreement has yet been reached between Chelsea and Crystal Palace. The Eagles are expected to submit an official proposal soon as negotiations continue.

Should the deal progress, it would represent another significant piece of business in Palace's summer rebuild while allowing Chelsea to further reshape their squad before the transfer window closes.
